Libraries
Lower School
Augusta Prep encourages in children a love of
learning. By incorporating library into the curriculum, students are
exposed to books at an early age. The Lower School Library program
familiarizes children with the layout of a library as well as the
manners expected within.
In addition, students are taught a respect
of books, the proper care of books, listening skills, the parts of a
book, library organization, the Dewey Decimal system, and research
skills.
Lower School students are invited and challenged to join
the 100 Book Club. This reading program encourages students to read the
books of their choice, in an effort to complete 1000 pages times the
student's grade level. Once inducted into the 100 Book Club, students
can double their number of pages and strive for the 200 Book Club!

opportunity and materials for both students and faculty to enhance
their learning and teaching experiences. Our collection holds more than
