Admission Process and Forms
Welcome to Augusta Prep Admissions!
Thank you for your
interest in Augusta Prep. We know what an important decision it is to
choose the best possible educational setting for your child. The
admission process is designed to assist you in every way possible to
learn about the many ways that your child will benefit from Augusta
Prep's dynamic learning environment.
Admission Policy
Augusta
Prep seeks to enroll a group of diverse students. We follow an open
admission policy, whereby qualified candidates are admitted without
regard to religion, race, nationality, economic background, or ethnic
origin. The Admission Committee evaluates each applicant on the basis
of personal interview, academic record, teacher recommendations, and
admission testing or assessment for evidence of good character,
maturity, and academic motivation. Some consideration is given to
alumni legacies and siblings of current students.
Age Requirements
Preschool: age 3 by July
Pre-kindergarten: age 4 by July
Kindergarten: age 5 by July
First Grade: age 6 by July
Admission Process
*Visit Augusta Prep - we welcome all prospective students and their
families to visit our campus. Call the Admission Office and set up a time to
tour the campus and to see our teachers in action.
*Order a viewbook and admission materials.
*Submit an application and $75 application fee.
*Schedule admission testing.
*Schedule a school visit for your child, for students grades 3-12.
*Deliver the transcript release form and teacher recommendation forms (grades PK-1, grades 2-4, English 5-12, Math 5-12) to your child's current school.
*Submit a graded writing sample, grades 5-8.
Notification of Acceptance
After
re-enrollment of current students in February, enrollment is open to
the public. Applicant files are processed and families will be notified
of admission committee recommendations in a timely manner.
Immunization Records
The
Certificate of Immunization, Georgia form 3231, should be on file with
the school by the first day of classes. Parents with questions about
immunization should contact the school nurse at extension 219.
