Head of School
Welcome to Augusta Prep! I want to take this opportunity to share
information with you about our school. Prep's mission is to provide the
Augusta area with the highest quality college preparatory education for
average and above average students in a non-sectarian, coeducational
environment. The core beliefs of the School further delineate just what
a high quality college preparatory education entails:
• That our graduates will be well-prepared for college
• That our teachers are vital to our success
•
That the whole child should be provided the opportunity to achieve
success, develop leadership potential, and be made aware of community
responsibility
• That our students should be instilled with the
values of interdependency, as well as respect and responsibility for
self and others
In more informal terms, Augusta Prep seeks
to engage minds, develop character, and build relationships with our
students on a daily basis. It is a place where everyone knows your
name, literally, and where amazing teachers combine traditional and
innovative approaches in very small classes. Additionally, because our
school is relatively small overall, 540 students in grades preschool
through twelve, it is a land of opportunity for every student. While
Augusta Prep is renowned for its academic excellence, we value the
importance of balancing academics with arts, athletics, community
service, and leadership opportunities.
As you explore our
website, I encourage you to make plans to visit the campus if you have
not already done so. We are located on fifty-five beautiful, wooded
acres less than one mile from Interstate-20. Please contact the Admission office to set up a visit!
Thank you for visiting Augusta Prep!
