Cavalier Dining
Augusta Prep provides a full-service lunch program (hot meals, salad, sandwich and soup bar) and qualifies as a participant in the School Nutrition Program (SNP), under the direction of Mrs. Debbie Brown and Chef Wille Brewer. Mrs. Brown was formerly a director of dining services in the Armed Forces (AFFES). Mrs. Brown is currently in her fourth year in managerial component of the lunch program - ordering food, creating the menu, overseeing enrollment. The goal of the Cavalier Dining Program is to provide high quality meals, choice and nutritional value.
Mrs. Brown, who is beginning her eleventh year at Prep, said, "Our goal is to serve quality food in an inviting atmosphere."
School Nutrition Program
Augusta Preparatory Day School has been accepted to participate in the federal School Nutrition Program (SNP). The USDA governs the SNP for private and charter schools and is administered by the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Division. A school must have tax-exempt status granted by the IRS in order to qualify to participate in the School Nutrition Program and more importantly, serve meals that meet the SNP nutrition guidelines. All children at Augusta Prep may purchase meals through the SNP.
